Check out my Slide Show!

What's new???

We have been pretty busy lately. My Grandma has been coming to stay with us here and there because she gets pretty lonely. It is really nice for the kids to get to know her and be around her. Today Grandma, the kids, Doug and I all went to The Space Theater! We saw Dinosaurs Alive. We got to play in the space museum, see the movie, have lunch in the cafe and the kids got to run around the fountain chasing each other in the sunshine! It was a beautiful sunny SanDiego kind of day!
Unlike Valentine's Day!! We haven't had a white Christmas but we did have a white Valentine's Day!! This crazy storm came in! All the weather people said there was a "chance" of rain! Well that chance turned out to be pouring rain all day! Mixed with thunder, lightning, hail and yes even snow!!! It was cold and everything was icy! We have never had a day quite like that here! But it was gone as quickly as it came! Our Valentine's Day was still fun! We all enjoyed our sweet Valentine's!!The kids really enjoyed their crazy hat Valentine's party at AWANA and their parties at school!
I am starting to plan Karlie's B-Day! It is really hard to plan because her B-Day is opening day for all 3 kids soccer! I don't have a schedule I just know that they will all 3 have a game. So it looks like I will have to plan the party for a day other than her B-Day. Then we also have the weather to worry about.
I have been working on lots of fundraising for my 3 day walk! I am getting there slowly but it's a work in progress!! The kids are doing their part. They have been sorting, crushing and bagging bottles and cans. This will be their contribution! We probably have enough to cash in so they can see what all their hardwork has done!
I am happy to say that it is finally really fun to go to the movies with my kids!! I took them to Disneyland at the beginning of the month to go see the Aladin musical show! They did great! They waited in line very well then they sat through the whole show without needing to go potty, getting board or crying!! Quite an accomplishment I must say! Then Karlie and I dragged my poor boys to go see Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus in 3D! (Karlie really wanted to see if we were in the movie since they announced they were filming for it at the concert we went to) We were not in the movie but the kids were once again wonderful!! Only one problem...Ryan accidently kicked an ice cold drink over onto Derek!! Other than that it was great and the fact that the movie was in 3D distracted the boys enough so they didn't complain about it being Hannah Montana!! Then add today and woohoo I can enjoy the movies with my kiddos!!

My One True Love

Doug and I have been married for 8 1/2 years! We have had our hard times. We basicly grew up together and had to learn how to have a good marrage. Both of us grew up in homes where our parents were divorced so we didn't exactly have the best example. Luckily we never gave up. We learned how to really love each other and respect one another. I am very proud of what Doug and I have done. He is a wonderful father. Our kids just adore him. I love being his wife and the mother of his children. All those little clichés that say how love gets better with time, well I see now that they are true!! I love him now more than I ever have! Our love grows stronger with each passing day. I am not afraid to grow old because I know I will have him by my side! He is just amazing. He works so hard and so many hours to provide for us, and because he does that I am able to live my dream of being a mother. We are so blessed. I just thank God for everything we have and for bringing us together and giving us our beautiful family.

My Sweet Little Angel

My Karlie is just the sweetest little girl ever!!! She has a very caring heart and loves to help others. She loves school and is a great reader. Speaking of reading she just finished the first Harry Potter book and is moving on to the second now!! She loves to color and draw, write stories, read, play pet shop, church, AWANA, sewing class, camping, the beach, swimming, snake hunting with her Uncle Eric (too bad they are all sleeping right now but they will be waking up soon!) sing, dance, cheer and playing Nintendogs on her DS. Those are just some of the things she likes to do. She still has plenty of Princess in her also. She loves going to Disneyland and hanging with her family and friends. You can catch her listening to her "ipod" which is actually a disney mix max. Her favorite singer is Hannah Montana AKA Miley Cyrus. She loves her Mommy and Daddy and her 2 little brothers very much!! She always lets us know by doing sweet little things for us. Isn't she just the coolest 7 year old ever? I love my baby girl! I love being her Mommy and watching her grow. She is truely a sweet little angel.

My Little Handsome Man

What does Derek love? FOOTBALL!!! Yes my son is a football fanatic! He knows more about the game than I do. He always talks about football, plays football and watches football. His favorite team of course is the San Diego Chargers. His favorite player L.T. hence the nickname D.T. He knows all the players names, #'s and positions. It doesn't end with the Chargers though he loves all football. His nightly bedtime readings include The NFL's MVP's and the Super Stars of the NFL. Each night I have to read to him about at least one player from one of these books. Then he can move on to the the series his Dad has started reading to him and Ryan, The Magic Treehouse. Aside from football he loves video games. I know, I know a 4 year old playing video games...but he loves it! For his 4th B-day he wanted money so he could buy a PSP. The game of choice Madden and yes my boy can actually play it! He is limited to the amount of time spent playing PSP and PS3 and the kind of games he can play. He plays Madden, Fifa, MXvsATV stuff like that, mainly sports and racing.
Derek also loves playing outside, soccer, riding his bike, school, AWANA, hiking, fishing, snake hunting with Uncle and just getting outside and doing something. My Derek is the sweetest little guy! Where ever we go he is always picking me flowers and telling me he loves me! He says he will play for the NFL someday. He is amazingly good at math. He is just a good kid! He loves his big sister and little brother so much. A quote from last week after shopping at Karlie's favorite store, "I guess I don't mind going to that stinky girlie store for Karlie because I love her." I just love this little guy and it is a joy to be his mother!!

The Littlest Of The Loves In My Life

My Ryan, He may be small but he is one tough kid! He trys to and usually succeeds in doing everything his big brother does! He also loves football. Him and Derek put on their Charger helmets and run plays and tackle each other all the time. Karlie is always their cheerleader on the side lines. He also enjoys playing with his motorcycle dudes. He loves his big brother and sister more than anything! Although not everyone understands the native tongue of Ryan (I happen to be pretty fluent in it myself) He has alot to say! He loves to make jokes and make you laugh. One of his biggest jokes included saying that the Raiders were his favorite football team. How he keyed into this at such a young age was so funny. At the beginning of this last football season this became his joke and in a Charger household it was so funny! Well not so funny to the #1 Charger fan D.T. but to watch him say, "Me love the Raiders!" or "I want a Raider Jersey" things like that it was hilarious!
He loves tomatoes, beans, shrimp and hotdogs. He also loves any fruit. He is definitely my best eater! He loves to chew gum. He is presently trying to kick his addiction to thumb sucking and is doing pretty good! He makes me smile. He is growing way to fast! I just love his Red hair, blue eyes and big dimples!! He's so cute!
What can I say My kids are just examples of God's perfection!
