Home made Ice Cream! Yummy!

Today when we came home from VBS which has been a complete blast, we made home made ice cream. I had all 6 kids plus 2 more just for fun! All the kids had fun helping. We did it the old fashion way with ice and rock salt. We made vanilla with Reese's Peanut Butter cups. It was so yummy! Lots of fun to make with the kids!

So busy!!

We are soooo busy lately! This week I am teaching at VBS! Today was day 1 and it was so much fun! I love meeting all the kids and praying with them and just sharing Jesus with them! On top of being busy we have a full house! I have my Grandma, Tiva, my 2 nieces and my nephew all staying with me for the week! We are having lots of fun! Gearing up for the fair later this week and this weekend!
Carla, Marcia and I had one last GNO before Marcia leaves us for Texas on Thursday!! Oh we are going to miss you guys sooooo much!!!
Oh yeah and I found out that my sister in law Chelsea is having a girl!! We thought it was a boy but then her 20 week ultrasound said girl ....so Sat she had another 3D/4D ultrasound and they changed their minds from boy to girl!!!! I am just so happy that Zach and Chelsea are being blessed with a baby!! Boy or Girl he/she is just lucky to have 2 wonderful parents!!! Although I am very excited to shop for a little niece!!!! Lets just hope they are right this time! lol
Next week we head to the beach for a whole week of beach camping and I can't wait!!!!!
So yeah we are keeping B-U-S-Y!!!!!
And it's Shark Week in HD does it get any better? Me and Doug love Shark Week!! It's just in time for us to head to the beach next week!!! I know, I know we are dorks!!! But we really do love Shark week!!! HeHe

Lego Land

So back in April Derek won tickets to Lego Land playing bingo at his school carnival! Today we used them and the kids had so much fun! It was a beautiful day down in Carlsbad today. Perfect weather-perfect kids-perfect day!!!
(Aunt Chelsea and Uncle Zach I just want to mention that even though it's been over a year the first thing my kids said when we got there was "remember when we came here with Aunt Chelsea and Uncle Zach? I miss them! Derek said it first then Karlie and Ryan joined in! They still remember you!!XOXOX)

All the kids were so good and they had so much fun!
This is pretty cool. While you wait in line they have these little Lego play areas for the kids. Someone waits in the line and the kids can play in these little areas. Then when the person in line reaches the front there is a little gate to meet back up with them. It was really useful especially for Ryan and Jesse they get pretty board waiting! It actually occupied all the boys as you can see. I just thought that it was neat that they had that it definitely made it easier!

So hard to say goodbye

On Sunday we had a going away party for my good friend Marcia and her family! Carla had us all over for BBQ Tri-Tip and shrimp which was sooooo yummy! It was a really fun party but it's just so sad! It's hard to make really good friends and once you do...it's hard to accept that they are moving to Texas next Thursday!!!!! Well we will soak up all the time we have with you while we can! I Love Summertime!!

Summertime is really the best! Even when it's hot it's still my favorite time of year. I love doing all the fun in the sun type of things with my kids! We have really been having an awesome summer! Last week we went to Knott's Soak City which was an absolute blast!! All 3 of my kids had a ball! This week we spent the whole week with my niece Dakota and nephew Brandon. We all went to Balboa Park with my Grandma and took in a movie at the Space Theater. Every few days my dear friend Carla invites us to go swimming in her beautiful pool and the kids are LOVING that!!
Today we all went to see Journey To The Center Of The Earth 3D and everyone loved it!! My sister Michelle took my family and since we had her kids we all met up there. Carla met us there with her boys and we had so much fun! The kids looked so cute in their 3D glasses! On a side note...you should have seen the weirdos camped out in front of the theater for the opening of Batman! We got there at 11 this morning and the first show is at 12am tomorrow! There were people camped out in line. I thought it was crazy that they would sit there all day and night! But when a worker told me some of them had been there since Monday OMG that is just nuts!! Sorry if I have offended anyone but come on is it really that important to be the first person to see a movie? Who has time to do that? Don't they work or have any responsibilities? I personally hate a packed theater but that's just me!!
Sorry I got a little side tracked. Anyway life is going good. I am very close to getting my pictures up for your viewing pleasure...it's the change from desk top to lap top along with all that goes on in my filled life. I am getting there though! Anyway I've rambled on enough back to So You Think You Can Dance!!

Yeah I had fun with my new camera and as I wrote this post I found out something very sad....I am an idiot that needs help!! Yup I had these really fun pictures to share and guess what? I can't share them with you because they were shot in RAW format and this blog doesn't recognize that!! So I will be consulting with my girls (you know who you are HELP!!) to figure this out and I WILL figure this out ASAP and then I will share with you!! So for now I will go back to watching So You Think You Can Dance yes I know I'm a dork but I love that show!
