The Pictures!!

End of summer update

So we had a wonderful time at the beach. I have lots of pictures to share. I have to say you know you have a good friendship when you can be in a motor home together for 5 days with 5 kids and still get along the whole time!!! Thank you Carla for taking us we had so much fun!!

So for this last month of summer we have had a blast! We spent the beginning at the fair each day raising money to fight breast cancer. We went to Charger fan fest! My sister and Mike took us. It was Doug, Derek and I that went. We have been going for the past few years. Mike always hooks us up. (Thanks Mikey) This was the first time Derek came. It sure was fun watching his face light up as he took in the whole experience! My Derek can't get enough football! He loves the Chargers and is always giving me different scenarios about when he plays for the NFL one day! He was so pumped walking around the Stadium. Then when we got to go down on the field to watch "The real Chargers practice" Derek was in Heaven! He must of snapped 100 pictures. I mean LT and Phillip Rivers were 10 feet away from us!!!

Then we did San Elijo for a week. I had to squeeze in a Park after Dark trip to the Wild Animal Park. We fit in a trip to Sea World and did the Shamu Rocks show complete with fireworks! We stayed at Sea World until the park closed and pretty much had the whole kid zone to ourselves! Karlie brought her friend Zoe with her. Uncle Eric hung out with us for a while. Debbie and Nathan came down to play and Uncle Eric ended up being able to come back to join us again at night time. Derek was stoked as he was finally tall enough to ride the journey to Atlantis roller coaster. Ryan just loves the Tide Pool and picked up every star fish in there! Then we went down to Coronado and camped at The Strand with Carla, Garrett and Jesse! We have really enjoyed this summer! I am so sad that tomorrow is the last day of our summer! Monday Karlie heads to 3rd grade and Derek enters Kindergarten! I can't believe it I am so sad! Anyway hope you enjoy the pictures there are allot I will post them in my next post.

We're headed back again!!

We had so much fun at the beach a week ago that when the opportunity came up to go again I said YES!! So we are headed out again tomorrow morning and we will be back on Thursday. This time it will be a little different. Last time I had Doug and lots of family and friends there. This time it will be 2 mommies and 5 kids! Carla and I are braving this one together. It should be fun. I so enjoyed watching my children enjoy the beach the last time I can't wait to share it with them again!! So be ready for more pictures coming soon. I hope everyone enjoys this last bit of summer. I know I am going to soak up as much as I can before my little Karlie returns to school as a big 3rd grader and my little Derek enters in as a Kindergartner!

We're Back!!!

Well we're back! We have been gone all week at San Elijo State beach camping. We had sooooo much fun! I will post pictures soon. I worked the fair Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday of last week then we got up Monday and headed for the beach!!
The fair went good all proceeds will go to Breast Cancer! I will be walking in the San Diego Breast Cancer 3 Day in November so this was one of our fundraisers. The beach was so fun and so beautiful! The kids had a blast! It was so much fun to take them to play at the beach everyday all week. Sometimes it's a little bit of a pain taking all 3 kids to the beach, remembering to pack EVERYTHING we need, loading EVERYTHING then lugging it all to the beach and lets not forget the sandbox you bring home with you!! But when you are camping at the beach you don't have to worry you have everything you need at camp and the kids can just enjoy it all stress free! We had lots of family and friends down there with us and it sure was fun! Now we are unwinding, unpacking, cleaning and doing lots of laundry! Then we are headed to a very special little guys birthday party!

Home made Ice Cream! Yummy!

Today when we came home from VBS which has been a complete blast, we made home made ice cream. I had all 6 kids plus 2 more just for fun! All the kids had fun helping. We did it the old fashion way with ice and rock salt. We made vanilla with Reese's Peanut Butter cups. It was so yummy! Lots of fun to make with the kids!
